Meet Kit, the founder →Getting started
Will Vello publicly name my business or show my project?
No. We do not publicly identify clients, link to their businesses or publish identifiable project screenshots. Your involvement with Vello and your business model remain private. Our public concept examples are fictional demonstrations, not client projects. Information needed to deliver your project is handled under the confidentiality provisions in our terms.
Can someone build an online business for me?
Vello researches and builds the agreed foundations of an ecommerce business: product opportunity, supplier outreach, brand, Shopify website, launch plan and handover. You approve the direction and make key decisions. After handover, you operate the business, serve customers and carry out the marketing. This is a business-building service, not a passive investment.
Do I need a business idea before starting?
No. We begin with the life you want the business to support, your available time, experience and budget. We compare opportunities using customer demand, competition, margins, seasonality and the practical work involved. You need to be open to products you may not have considered, and you approve the direction before the main build.
Can I start alongside my existing job?
You do not need to leave your job to apply. We discuss the time you can realistically give the business and the demands of the proposed model. You will still need time for decisions during the build and customer enquiries, marketing and operations after launch. Any employment restrictions are yours to check.
Costs and ownership
How much does a Vello business build cost?
The complete build is £4,000, split into £2,000 to begin and £2,000 before final handover. It covers the agreed research, strategy, supplier work, branding, ecommerce implementation, launch preparation, documents, training and three months of structured aftercare. The written scope confirms the deliverables before work begins.
How much does it cost to start a dropshipping business?
There is no single total for every dropshipping business. With Vello, the agreed business build costs £4,000. You also need a budget for ongoing costs such as Shopify, any additional software, payment processing and marketing, plus working capital for supplier payments and refunds. Supplier-held stock usually avoids buying inventory upfront, but it does not remove operating costs or cash-flow risk. We explain expected running costs before you approve the direction.
Is advertising included?
Initial marketing direction, advertising creative and a launch plan are part of the agreed build. Advertising media spend is separate. If you want advertising activated before handover, an optional £400 budget goes into advertising through your account, not an additional Vello management fee. The included 12-month marketing plan is not 12 months of campaign delivery or advertising management.
Will I own the business and website?
Yes. The agreed original brand assets, website work and documentation are handed over after payment, with client-owned accounts wherever possible. Third-party platforms, themes, software and other licensed assets remain subject to their own terms and ongoing charges. Your written agreement sets out exactly what transfers.
Products and suppliers
Will Vello find suppliers and distributors?
Supplier research, outreach and help progressing trade-account applications form part of the agreed scope. We investigate buying terms, stock location, dispatch, delivery, returns and support. Supplier acceptance and commercial terms remain the supplier's decision; we cannot guarantee approval.
Do I have to buy stock before launch?
Most Vello builds use dropshipping: the supplier normally holds stock and dispatches orders to your customers. You still run the customer relationship and must understand your responsibilities for delivery, returns and support. Buying stock later is optional and may improve buying terms, but creates storage, cash-flow and inventory risks.
Can Vello build a B2B or B2C business?
We can investigate businesses selling to consumers (B2C) or other businesses (B2B). Consumer opportunities may involve products around £200 to £1,000; B2B opportunities may involve orders around £4,000 to £7,000 or more. These are research directions, not promised order values. Higher-value B2B sales may require quotations, calls, demonstrations, installation or support, which we discuss before recommending a direction.
Handover and support
What happens after handover?
You receive the agreed business assets, documents, training and a 12-month marketing plan. Three months of structured aftercare include scheduled monthly reviews, guidance on the original website and fixes to the agreed build within your support allowance. You run the business. New features, daily operations and additional campaign delivery are separately scoped.
Can I keep working with Vello after three months?
Yes. Optional support is £500 per month for continued consultancy, a monthly business review and agreed website support, with any implementation allowance set in advance. Alternatively, you can continue independently after handover and the included aftercare.
Does Vello guarantee sales, income or profit?
No. Research and a completed build do not guarantee market demand, sales or profitability. Your budget, execution, customer service, competition and market conditions all matter. Kit's historical business results are his own experience, not a forecast or promise of client results.
How long does the build take?
Your delivery plan is agreed for your particular business. Research, your decisions, supplier responses and the scope of implementation affect the timing. We do not promise a universal launch date before understanding the work involved.
